Gilgit Baltistan - an unforgettable adventure! I had an absolutely amazing experience exploring Gilgit-Baltistan with Habib Saqib as our tour guide. This trip exceeded all my expectations and was worth every single moment. Gilgit-Baltistan is truly an underrated destination, yet it offers some of the most breathtaking scenery I have ever witnessed. The stunning mountains, crystal-clear lakes, majestic glaciers, and untouched landscapes make it a true natural paradise. One of the highlights was taking a thrilling jeep ride through the mountains and a local flight with an unforgettable landing between snow-covered peaks—it genuinely felt like a scene from a James Bond movie! Every day brought spectacular views that left us speechless. Habib also introduced us to delicious local cuisine, giving us the opportunity to experience the authentic flavours of the region. We even saw mountain buffalo and travelled all the way to the China border, making the journey even more memorable. What made this trip truly exceptional was Habib himself. He is knowledgeable, friendly, professional, and genuinely passionate about sharing the beauty of his homeland. He took great care of everyone throughout the journey and made sure we experienced the very best of Gilgit-Baltistan. This wasn’t just a holiday—it was a once-in-a-lifetime adventure filled with unforgettable memories that I will treasure forever. A Trip I will always remember Apr 2026 I traveled with World Travel and Tours Pakistan from 8 to 18 April 2026 and had such an amazing experience. We visited Hunza, Skardu, Gilgit, and a little bit of Islamabad, and I can honestly say Pakistan was even more beautiful than I expected. The lakes, the villages, the mountains, the spring flowers, and even the roads were unbelievably beautiful. It is really the kind of place you need to see with your own eyes because no camera can fully capture how stunning it is in real life. The itinerary was well planned and the whole trip felt smooth and comfortable. I also felt safe the entire time. The roads in some areas were winding and surrounded by mountains, but our driver was incredibly skilled and calm, which made me feel very confident and relaxed throughout the journey. Our guide took such good care of us from beginning to end. He explained the places very well, helped with luggage, took beautiful photos for us, and always made sure we were comfortable. He was also fun to talk to, joked with us, and felt more like a friend during the trip. One thing I really appreciated was that when I started missing Thai food, he was genuinely willing to make it for us and even wanted to learn the recipe properly. That meant a lot to me and showed how thoughtful and kind he was. Another highlight was the adventure activities at Sarfaranga Desert. We got to try horse riding, paramotoring, and ziplining, which made the trip even more special and exciting. I was also pleasantly surprised by how warm and friendly the local people were. Pakistan felt much safer than I had imagined, the food was better than I expected, and the accommodations were comfortable too. I am quite a picky eater, but I really enjoyed the naan, the curries, and especially the bakeries there, which were seriously so good. Splendour of Pakistan We were greeted by the warm hospitality of the people of Pakistan. The food was delicious- rotis, parathas, karahis and i cannot get enough of the Pakistani chai. Our tour leader Fara was very caring and patient because some of us had difficulty in walking due to arthritis and asthma issues. Our guide in Pakistan Naveed & our driver Ammar were our heroes! They made sure we enjoyed ourselves, our comfort, enjoyment and safety was their main mission. The breath taking views of Gilgit, Skardu, Hunza were amazing! Our accomodations were cosy, clean, we had bidets in every room and in Hunza where it was cold, we had heated mattresses & slippers for the icy cold floors. A big thumbs up! Huge shoutout to Naveed and Yousuf for taking such good care of us throughout the trip. What we loved most was their flexibility—whenever we wanted to try something new or had special requests, they went out of their way to make it happen. The accommodations were very comfortable, and the food was great. A highlight for us was that at some places, they even let us go into the kitchen and cook our own meals, which was a lot of fun.
